The martial arts of the Philippine islands are largely rooted in their culture and tradition. The origins of them reach back to Antiquity, and many aspects of their history and their development remain hidden or forgotten, lost between myth and reality.

ISMA-Escryma is a martial art / self-defence based upon traditional Philippine free fight. It is a complete fighting system that includes three distances (long, middle and close).

Escryma is especially known for its highly developed techniques with arms, like clubs and knives.

The style is very flowing, easy-going, yet explosive and making no compromises, making extensive use of the physics and dynamics.

It does not know any age limit and can be learned and taught by everybody.
